Bowl History:
The Poinsettia Bowl was first played in 2005 and was created by the organizers of the Holiday Bowl. Navy won the first game 51-20 over Colorado State. The game currently hosts a team from the Mountain West Conference against an at-large opponent. Navy can elect to play in any or all of the 2008, 2009 and 2010 Poinsettia Bowl games if bowl eligible.
