Bowl History:
The New Orleans Bowl was first played in 2001 featuring a Colorado State 45-20 win over North Texas. The game has been played at the Louisiana Superdome except in 2005. The 2005 game was moved to Lafayette, Louisiana due to extensive damage to the Superdome from Hurricane Katrina. The game currently hosts the champion of the Sun Belt Conference against a team from Conference USA.
